Candle Warmer Lamps: A Buyer’s Guide for Candle, Home and Gift Brands

A candle warmer lamp looks like a small table lamp, but its job is to melt a jar candle from the top. A halogen bulb in the shade warms the wax, and the fragrance fills the room — with no open flame, no smoke and no blackened jar. For candle brands, home-fragrance shops and gift retailers, it is a natural companion product: every lamp sold is a reason to buy the next candle.

How a candle warmer lamp works

The lamp has three parts: a base that holds the candle jar, an arm (on many designs the height is adjustable to suit different jar sizes), and a glass or metal shade with a halogen reflector bulb inside. The bulb gives off both light and gentle heat. Place a jar candle on the base, switch on, and within minutes the top layer of wax melts and releases the scent.

Because nothing burns, the wick stays untouched and the candle lasts longer. That is a big part of the appeal for customers who live in rented flats, have children or pets, or simply prefer not to leave a flame unattended.

Candle warmer lamps are plug-in products — unlike our cordless table lamps, they run from the mains.

Which designs sell to which customers

Our candle warmer collection covers several looks:

  • Amber and ribbed glass bell shades on brass-tone arms — the warm, vintage look that photographs well and suits most living rooms.
  • Clear and frosted tulip shades on natural-wood bases — light and Scandinavian, popular with home-décor retailers.
  • Marble bases with gold arms — a premium look for gift sets and boutique stores.
  • Matte black metal designs, including a mesh-cage shade — a more neutral, industrial style that also works in men’s gift ranges.
  • Colour glass in green, pink, aqua and smoke grey — eye-catching hero products for e-commerce and seasonal displays.

A practical tip: choose a small, coordinated range (for example one amber, one clear and one black design) rather than many unrelated styles. It keeps minimum order quantities manageable and makes the shelf or product page easier to shop.

Bulbs, plugs and compliance

Candle warmers combine a heat source and mains electricity, so check these points before you order:

  • Bulb. Each lamp ships with a halogen reflector bulb. Confirm the bulb wattage and whether spare bulbs should be included in the box.
  • Plug and voltage. Lamps are wired for the destination market — tell us whether you need US, EU, UK or Australian plugs and the voltage.
  • Switch. Ask which switch the design uses (inline switch or dimmer) for your market version.
  • Compliance. Lighting and electrical-safety rules for mains-powered products and halogen bulbs differ by market. Let us know where you sell, and we will confirm which test reports and markings apply to each model before you order.
  • Instructions and labels. Safety instructions should cover candle jar size, keeping the lamp away from flammable materials, and switching off when not in use.

Private label and packaging

Candle warmers are well suited to private label. Typical customisations include:

  1. Arm and base finishes — gold, black, silver or wood tones to match your brand.
  2. Shade glass colour — clear, amber, frosted, smoke or a custom colour.
  3. Logo on the base and on the packaging.
  4. Gift boxes that can hold a lamp together with one of your candles.
